A Dream Come True

Every little girl dreams of getting a pony, right?  I know I did and chances are, if you're reading this post, you did too.  Well, these two little girls were no different, especially because their mother, Mikey, works with horses and had exposed the girls to horses from a very early age.   With the dreams of owning her own training business becoming a reality, Mikey knew that she would need an amazing horse she could use in lessons.

Enter Tanner, the adorable dappled, slightly roaned, unicorn-of-a-horse.  He's sweet, polite, not too large, not too small, kind-eyed, wise-souled, eager to please gelding that is a delight to be around.   Mikey knew from the moment she met him that he would be perfect for her program and she did everything she could to make that a reality.

Mikey and Ben kept the news of the new family member a secret for a few weeks, as they planned to tell the girls during the photoshoot.   The shoot took place on a magical afternoon, in beautiful Larkspur, Colorado at the stunning Plum Creek Hollow Farm.  Surrounded by the autumn leaves, in the golden evening light, these two little girls dreams finally came true.  It was an honor to be chosen to photograph this special day.  I have a feeling none of us will ever forget it.
